Summer 2010

Camps are for children ages 3-6 and are held 9:00am - 1:00pm daily at a cost of $140 per week.  Reserve your space today because spaces are limited.


June 14-18  Beginner Cooking:

• Students will cook or make a food item every day.
• Expansion of vocabulary:  students will learn cooking terms and how to use cooking utensils.
• Math concepts:  students will learn about measuring and the use of time when cooking.
• Social & Emotional:  students will learn how to take turns, share cooking responsibilities and cooperate with each other.

June 21-25  International Cooking and Cultures:

• Students will review/learn beginning cooking basics.
• Students will cook a featured international food from a different country each day.
• Students will learn about the cultures of each country including it's food, music, and art.

July 26-30  Art and Drama

• Students will explore the basics of artistic expression such as the elements of balance, rhythm, contrast and harmony.
• Students will learn how these artistic expressions are interrelated.

August 2-6  Children's Literature

• Students will read and discuss humorous, fiction and non-fiction stories.
• Students will create their own storybook.
